Ishmael Samuel - Trainee Translator

My name is Ishmael Samuel. I was born in 1973. I am married to Gidip and we have five children. Two of our children are in school. Their names are: Yunoma (27 July 1997) attending grade 4; Everlyn (13 June 2001) attending grade 2; Sandonix (27 April 2003); Kila (27 September 2006); and Margret (18 June 2009).

My present work includes church helper and secretary to the Angaataha Bible Translation Language Scripture in Use (ABTLSU). In 2006 I attended A Scripture Application Leadership Training course. I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour in 1992 but during this course I fully surrendered my life to Him.

I came to join translation in year 2008 when BTA did Bible translation awareness for the Angaataha Old Testament Translation Project. I want to see my people come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour and go to heaven.

Please pray that I will be able to explain the Scripture clearly to my people.
