My name is Dambingo Geowa. I was born in 1989. When I was doing grade 7 my father died. I left school for a year and in 2005 I repeated grade 7. In 2006 I completed grade 8.
In my family there are 7 of us, three boys and 4 girls. I am the third-born in our family. In 2008 February God called me in the vision of Jeremiah 1:5-8. I attended a short translation course on 14-28 February 2008 conducted by the BTA staff. That was the first time I attended such a course. In the course I learned how to translate God’s Word from another language (English) into my own language. During the course God changed me and called me to do translation work. I thank God for his goodness to me.
I am now a trainee translator. My passion is to see the people in the village read the Bible in their language, and accepting Jesus Christ in their lives, and when we all believe in Him they will have eternal life (John 3:16).
